According to the latest scientific research application, the Robotic Sensory System Group at the Southern University of Science and Technology, used BMF’s microArch®S130 3D printing system (2μm resolution), successfully printed fingerprint-like structural templates and hierarchical micro-structural templates, providing technical support for the development of a robotic sensory system with high spatiotemporal resolution. This sensor surface has fingerprint structures and micro-structural layers that play a key role in sensitivity. The research group select a low-viscosity ionic gel and combined it with a hierarchical ionic-electronic sensing interface design to make the sensor highly sensitive and ultra-fast, capable of detecting tiny structures. This system has shown spatial and frequency resolution in texture recognition, paving a new way for the development of robotic technology.
The related research results were published in the journal Nature Communications under the title “A robotic sensory system with high spatiotemporal resolution for texture recognition.”
